Genesis Car Reveals
From Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde to a Malibu sunset
During my time at Blackspace, I worked with the (absolutely brilliant) Motion Team to create multimedia experiences for numerous Genesis concept car reveals.
It started with the Genesis X Speedium Coupe reveal at Genesis House in New York, where we created all the media content and managed it live remotely. For the Genesis GV80 Coupe Concept event, we broke the “fourth wall,” staging a dialogue between Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke and himself—appearing both on stage and virtually, life-size, on the LED screen.
One of my personal highlights was the Genesis X Convertible reveal. Its backdrop would be the stunning Malibu sunset. Together with composer Michael Fakesch, we created an immersive, binaural audio experience delivered through over 100 wireless headphones. It took guests on a journey through Mr. Donckerwolke’s imagination, culminating in the unveiling of the car on the Malibu shoreline.
My roles across these projects were as varied as the projects themselves: producer, motion designer when needed, on-site support, headphone troubleshooter…
